In any athletic endeavor, a committee of professionals must oversee the operations and the safety of the athletes involved. The NJCAA Division III is no exception. Even though the tournament is small—only 8 teams participate over a three-day period it still requires a professional’s eye for details, and that is why the entire event is overseen by three committees—executive and operations to make sure that the players have the safest and most well organized environment in which to show off their skills. Trainers are also in attendance to help players be at their best for the single elimination face off, while a coordinator of officials is there to make sure rules are followed and fair play is promoted.
