The National Junior College Athletic Association Men’s Division III Basketball Championship has a rich history of roundball dating all the way back to 1991, and giving athletes from smaller schools the chance to shine. The eight-team tournament is single elimination and set up in the traditional format. It is played every year over a three day period on a Thursday through a Saturday in March. Joliet Junior College and Mountain View College won the championships in 2010 and 2011, respectively, with Rochester Community and Technical College finishing as runner-up both seasons. Sullivan County Community College has won the most titles in the tournament’s history with four (1992, 1995, 1996, 2007).
